Paris Saint Germain footballers defeated the current French champion Lille 2 – 1 with a big comeback.
It is rare for the Parisians not to record a triumph in Ligue 1 for two matches in a row, and that could have happened last night. After sharing the points with Marseille, PSG were losing to Lille for a long time, but eventually pulled out all three points.
In the 31st minute, Jonathan David took advantage of an assist from the right side from Burak Yilmaz and scored for the lead of the current champions of France. The result of 0 – 1 remained up to the break, and the minutes that followed brought an idealess game of PSG and several great opportunities for Lille who could’ve solved the match in their favor. After 74 minutes, Angel Di Maria made a run on the left and crossed it to Marquinhos who scored for 1 – 1.
When it seemed that the match would end with a score of 1 – 1, the absolute hero of the comeback, Di Maria, scored on the assist of Neymar and secured his team all three points. Interestingly, Lionel Messi is still waiting for his first goal for PSG in the league, and tonight he played until the 46th minute.
