Neymar had started the season very badly with the new PSG project. The statistics say it all. A goal in ten games in all competitions was Neymar’s data before arriving in Bordeaux. But today he has put his fist on the table and has given a whole exhibition of football. Two authentic goals that give victory to a PSG that walks through Ligue 1 with 34 points out of 39 possible.
The first fifteen minutes were highly contested between both teams with Girondins locked behind and waiting for a quick counter to surprise Pochettino’s team but Neymar appeared to pull the plug. Despite the display shown by the two superstars, Petkovic was right with the changes and Girondins showed another image about Matmut Atlantique against a PSG that was not attentive in defense in the last fifteen minutes of the game. In the 78th minute Ellis’s goal came after a good finish from the striker and in the 92nd Niang beat Keylor with a great move made with the newly entered Briand. The goals went up to the scoreboard but it was a bit too late for the Girondins.
Finally the three points traveled to Paris with an exhibition of Neymar and Mbappé who, for several games, have not played like this together. Also all this went on without Lionel Messi who was out due to hamstring problems. If the top three play at the best level, there is no one to stop them.
